Klimt Bead Necklace Commission | Polymer Clay Jewellery at Lottie Of London

In August I was asked to create a necklace, similar but slightly different to my Klimt bead necklaces.  The brief was to create the colours to match a wedding outfit incorporating the colours of my customers dress and shoes.

I needed to get colour mixing and create the colours that would compliment the dress.  As the beads was to feature a Klimt design, I needed to take the focal colour and added white to create shades the blue in lighter tones, it was also important to include a much paler blue to make the Klimt design stand out.

Once the colour combination had bee approved it was time to start creating the beads and also to plan how the necklace was to be laid out, playing with the beads to get the colour mix and the design right.

I enjoyed working on this colour mix as the colours where a little trickier in particular the green but I think the overall effect of the necklace is wonderful and my customer was delighted.
